Some things are better in the country, away from the crowded ways of life. Mystics and pilgrims of every age and religious tradition have experienced this reality. Out here, some ways are more easily traveled, some truths more easily perceived , and some lives more easily reborn. Clarity lies among the fields, breezes, and drumlin hills. Our ambient light is starlight and fireflies. Most of the music we hear is sung by choruses of songbirds and crickets.

Because God alone is Lord of the conscience, congregations are called to encourage, empower, and equip us for our relationships, not control them or us,
Spirituality and science can co-exist in dialogue with each other,
God delights in the arts because God is the source of all gifts, the first and foremost Artist and ultimate Author of all creativity, and
God loves us, pretty much loves everyone as far as we can tell, and has a higher purpose for all of us, a purpose filled with meaning,

Founded by Scottish farm families exactly 175 years ago, our members now represent a variety of vocations as well as ages. Nevertheless, we hold in common with them a love for the land, the life of the mind, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
We are a small congregation in a small building. One advantage we enjoy is that if you visit with us, in very short order all of us will know your name. Everyone will treat you with the respect you deserve! Another advantage you might appreciate is that it is very hard to get lost in our building . . .
Perhaps our greatest advantage is that, right now, we walk by faith into a future that only God knows. This is exciting for us! God is making a new creation here. We trust God’s Holy Spirit is blowing through our Lima community, inspiring all of us, and giving us direction.
Our congregation is richly blessed! We would love to share those blessings with you. Fields lie around us, woods stand behind us, and a community of 1300 folks loved deeply by God live down the road from us. When you visit our congregation, you can feel how much we care for one another. In the future we anticipate impacting our region with the same caring.
